Biography Matthew Charles Porretta was born on May 29th, 1965, in Darien, Connecticut USA. His father is a trained opera singer and accomplished actor. His mother is also a trained singer and was Miss Ohio, 1956. Manhattan School of Music. In 1987 he played Lun Tha in hisr first play: The King and I. Untill 1994 he played in les Misérables as Marius (1989), in West Side Story as Tony (1994) and in Passion (1994) as Ludovic (understudy for Giorgio). His first appearance on TV was in the tv-serie Class of '96 in 1993. His first movie was in the same year. He played Will Scarlet O'Hara in Robin Hood : Men in tights. In the same year he also got a guest appearance in South Beach and in 10 episode of Beverly Hills 90210. In 1994 he went back to the Theater stage. In 1995 he got a small part in Mel Brooks movie Dracula Dead and loving it as the Handsome Lieutenant at Ball. In 1996 he did a guest appearance in the tv-serie Wings as David Barnes. His big break on tv came when in 1997 he played Robin Hood in The new Adventure of Robin Hood. He would play this part for 2 seasons. In 1999 he did 3 movies : Turkey Cake (as Jimmy), Desperate But Not Serious (as Gene) and Kate's Addiction (as Dyland Parker). In 2000 he did a guest appearance in Code Name: Eternity as Leethan. From 2001 till beginning 2004 he did nothing on tv. In 2004 he did a guest appearance in Without a Trace and had a part in a movie named Dream Warrior. His latest project was a guest appearance on CSI NY as Ron Bogda on the episode untitled Hush. Dream Warrior (2004) ....
